Lycabettus hill is the highest point in Central Athens and pine trees cover its base. The funicular has two carriages and can carry up to 34 people in each route. The routes are scheduled every 30 minutes but at peak hours it can rise up to 10 minutes. Thousands of people climb up to the top of the hill in order to enjoy the view from a height of 277 meters, dine in Orizontes restaurant or visit Saint George’s church.
